While each of the individual Event pages (i.e. Training Events, Tower Events, Panel Events, etc.) detail the mechanics of how the event works, here is a high level overview of what to expect.

Please note that the details below regarding whether event units or spending are 'required' are focused on whether they are 'needed' for achieving either a high ranking or top item rewards. These are the opinions of players / editors, and not based off any direct information or guidance from Mobage / Silicon Studio.

With that said, new players, please be warned that in it's current state, Fantasica is essentially a pay-to-win app. It is absolutely possible to participate in all events with no event units and no spending, but it is often literally impossible to reach the highest ranking / rewards without spending significantly, and can require large time sinks to reach even the lower rewards.

Event types that are currently active and have ranking rewards associated with them.

Event Type Event Unit Required EU Stacking Spending Required Allies Required Notes
Clash Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts and bonus items No No; TE can be used No TE only refill one CP, while an event item restores all 6. If not spending, expect to burn a LOT of TE to rank
Colossi Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts No Yes; only 10 Pots can be used per match Yes Like Guild Battles, matches are scheduled at preset times
Dice Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts No No No Energy (DP) can be directly restored through (spending on) event items, but use of Dice and roll-bonus cards can help
Frontlines Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts and battle count multiplier No No; Pots can be used No Pots only refill one CP, while an event item restores all 6. If not spending, expect to burn a LOT of Pots to rank
Gifting Events Yes; grants bonus items for gifting No Yes; tickets needed to have enough gifts quickly enough to max sending them out Recommended Active allies that gift back will increase BT received when gifting to them
Guild Battles Yes; grants bonus GP against base Yes Yes; only 10 Pots can be used per match Recommended Serious guilds will require kik or LINE chats to coordinate
Legion Battles Yes; grants bonus BT pts No No No While event items are not req, ranking will take lots of time and pots
Panel Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts No Yes No If you don't have an EU, allies with leadered EUs can be used to down the special boss (but no multiplier is granted to your BT pts)
Path Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts No No No Pots only refill one FP, while an event item restores all 6. If not spending, expect to burn a LOT of Pots to rank
Popularity Events Yes; grants bonus love pts No No No Expect to burn a LOT of Pots while grinding to rank
Raising Events Recommended; better chance for rarer bosses No No Recommended Allies that share bosses are preferable. Note that separately from ranking, highest Evo cannot be achieved without spending.
Tactics Events No No No No Pots only refill one CP, while an event item restores all 6. If not spending, expect to burn a LOT of Pots to rank
Training Events No No No Recommended Somewhat RNG in terms of finding the special boss; having active allies will help
Training-Tower Events Yes; grants bonus BT pts No No No Expect to burn a LOT of Pots while grinding to rank

Event types that are generally short (1 - 3 days) and DO NOT have rank rewards associated with them; these are usually run concurrently with a Main Event that DOES have rank rewards.

Event Type Event Unit Required EU Stacking Spending Required Allies Required Notes
Colosseum Events Recommended; grants bonus BT pts Yes No No If not spending (event items grants BT point multiplier when active), expect to spend a lot of TE to clear all areas
Team Events No No No No Only donate during Fever times. Drawing high rarity units from reward tickets is pure RNG.
Tower Events Recommended; grants bonus BT pts Yes No No If not spending for event items (grants BT point multiplier when active), expect to spend a lot of TE to get point rewards

Event types that serve a particular purpose.

Event Type Notes
Awakening Events Similar to recruitment, specific monsters can be "Awakened" into units. The required items (Wake Stone L icon.png Wake Stones) are not tradeable. Note that even at the highest chance, Awakening can still fail.
Recruitment Events Allows specific monsters to be "Recruited" into units. Requires Soul stone l icon.png Soul Stones. Recruited units cannot be returned to monster form; recruit only if you're certain.

Event types that have been held in the past, but not within the last year.

Event Type Notes
Battle Arenas Discontinued after several events in 2013. Similar to Colosseum Events in that players chose and battled other players, with the added layer of going for consecutive wins in a row.
Quest Challenge Events Special Quests would be available, with rewards available for clearing within the time frame.
Zone Events Only a single event in 2014. Elements of what would eventually become Path Events later on.
