Hey thanks for taking care of front page. I am fine doing the wiki uploads and the new unit adds, but Toraella use to take care of the linking pages. I need to go back and grab all card and event links from the 9th to now. You want to learn how to upload in case something happens to me or I quit?
Hey i had a death in the family saturday. I have to clean my house, take kids trick or treating, write a eulogy, pick up relatives at the airport and go grocery shopping all before 5pm tomorrow. If i get the images uploaded later today can you input units and build the pages.
Building pages is easy, just grab last gifting event, go to edit control A it open word paste it in there and then just use the find and replace option to change the things that ate different, title, pack, rr, gift names etc.
Units will be a little harder cause you have to go to recent uploads to see back of card and either write it down or have 2 winfows open.

Mistypings
I intentionally misspell the next event and upload the preview banner under a fakish name. If you try to do to posters of the same name they come out distorted.
Banners
The banners I dont worry about as long as I have one of them its the posters. If we have two that are named the same thing then the coming soon poster overrides the event poster, so I always name it something similar but either leave a letter off or make a capital small. I only mention it because I am seriously considering quitting fanta and I wont be successful If I am trying to run the website.

It's not stressing me out. I love playing Fantasica but I have seen a major change in the game the last few months. No matter how much you spend you just can't out rank the top 30. It makes it less appealing. Plus Mynet has been removing and changing so much. They only use like 4 artists now Dragon tactics, dragon genesis, clan battle of fate, and valkyrie crusade.
Yeah i know. I tried to fix it too. I am going to resend with the dump upload and see if I have any luck. If not I will have to rename it something else.
Suggestion
Once it gets more established we can alter the way its done. But im still getting lots of people asking how to set up their pages and how to add to front page.
I took your suggestion and established it. I couldn't take adding one more person to that alphabetized list. Having to move everyone down to get one person in grrr. I still want a fantasitrade system but at least this is easier for now.
Fantasitrade
I want to make a fantasitrade like section. You think its possible inside the wiki?

Those are both really good ideas, but yeah they do sound a little tedious and we might need to create a new wiki with our own admin codes. I think that this idea might bog down this site to much.
Next couple of weeks
Can you maintain the website for the next few weeks? I can go to a public place and upload the stuff after the game is up around 8am fanta, but i dont have wifi at my house so i would have to hang out at an elementary school from like midnight to 6 am. Kinda creepy right?! My wifi installation has been stalled at my new house and I have no idea how long it will take. I will know Friday the 21st.
Awesome. I will go out after hubby gets home and upload the data. It should be ready around 10 fanta. If you dont get to adding the new units i can do that at work on Wednesdays.

wiki: cards templates
Since Fanta changed card templates, can we rework wiki somewhat?
- Maybe enter phone screenshots as back art - Varney Habane Oboro - as of now one can not do it, not form the phone at least
- Update the card template: now the "slogan" and level 1 stats just can not be read from the picture, because the picture is typically missed. Why not put them into the right-hand box?
- It would be nice if wiki/DB could estimate full-MLB full-asc stats from the LVL1 information, and Souls stats too, but that is much more complex, especially since we do not know exact formulas.

- mail me at AriochThe at GMail - you raise interesting points for deep discussion of which wiki talk tables are just bad tool.
Few notes: calculating souls stats after you know the MLB A4 stats is really trivial. Tricks are: 1) to embed it into wiki albums, so people could glance there and know if to keep their daily free card or discard it 2) to guesstimate soul stats when you only have clean LVL1 card and no one has maxed it yet. Like with recent Habane.
That is why I started spreadsheet experiments that I linked in Soul Links page. Being newb, I knocked into that problem, I was no more desperate to MLB my "hit team" units and time came to finally think learn "what those souls were", and while solving that problem for myself I made that XLSX table linked there and compiled the recommended list :-). Frankly, back then my strong frustration was that I could not download the SQL table u use for cards database and had to copy-paste figures from wiki into XLSX. I still wonder about the database structure, though no more need SQL access that much :-D
Anyway, you might be interested to look into formulas I tried there in that Spreadsheet for guesstimation. There is often an "off by one" error though with real data, which shows that Fanta actually applies formulas in different order than my spreadsheet does. Though that makes no practical difference.
If not formulas there might be some sampling for you, but note, being poor newb I was not interested in wasting 11* onto souls, so I was sampling 6-8 units with a very few 5* : they are the local optimum. W.R.T. your formulas - please, define X and Z before using them, those formulas quite confused me, I read them in reverse order that ascension decrease stats :-D
BTW, is there known formula for stat as a function of level, lvl1-stat and maybe rarity? I suspect there should be something simple, exponential or geometrical progression, but did not looked into it.
Regarding new cards I believe there is no "back art" at all. Even for previous cards the back art was merely sepia-coloured version of main arts. No more. The rest is just a text printed from database exactly the same way how card templates pull data from the database in this wiki. I have a virtual Android but it is Android 4, outdated and almost unusable now. I also do not want to root my new Android phone, not yet at least. Maybe this winter I would find some newer Android/x86 build to put into VirtualBox and look into it on my computer when spare time. BTW, the manuals on this wiki talk about "deciphered Fanta files in Google Drive folder" - but there were no such, only manuals :-)
Biggest problem is that Fanta was dying even in February when I quit, and being back this August I can sadly see it is dying yet worse. I was thinking about writing down my newb experiences as a kind of crash course, but since Fanta is in "squeeze it dry" death spiral I no more feel an urge for it...
Basically there is some person paying for fantasicawiki.com domain name registration, and then there is person (probably same) paying for hosting and traffic. They probably have a bunch of logins/passwords to the server. Ranging from some low-level stuff like SSH access to the server command line to more limited and easy to use like phpMyAdmin or some other WWW wrapper over MySQL engine (which probably runs the databases on the site, as "LAMP" is a common toolbox for simple web sites).
Of course no one would give SQL direct access left and right cause things like bobby-tables.com
Biggest problem with all those tutorials and raw stats gathering is - who would ever need it? Okay, I am a little down over abysmal pull rates and new pretty Adley missed for me...
Raw data is actually very useful for... well, for people who gonna use it :-) For example recently I verified (and proven wrong) Gift event suggestions. They are half-year wrong, and no one bothered to check for two reasons: 1) fewer people play, mostly old players, and they mostly go freeplay or close to that, 2) people just do not know how to check and do not want to invest time and efforts. Basically, publishing raw data and how suggestions and hypotheses were derived from them could help people validate obsolete rules. But, people....
Maybe there should be a dedicated page for raw data, not only about units themselves, but also about how wiki-editors came to this and that conclusion. Like, again, the Gifting.
On DB access - someone should have it, someone who pays for domain and traffic, there is to be someone there... Granted, MySQL is not my beloved DB, but most basic SQL is the same but everywhere (with MySQL at least with version 5+) and fewer FT players mean less load on the wiki and on the DB, so suboptimal decisions would not hurt much. At least, self-education, if not community help :-D
On Fanta state in total - Varner, Clysma, Suzue - after 2-3 weeks after their event they are still TL. No comment.

That is optimal for marketing. You can hardly squeeze much $ from players who do not want much. So you have to squeeze tighter and tighter those fewer and fewer who still pay. That may be called death spiral...
Looks like Peter&Tink M either have very a unconvential levelling (not the first one) or has incorrect back-arts... However typo in back-arts is impossible if back-arts is really auto-generated form the in-game DB. Weird.
