Event Info

The Masquerade of Deceit is divided into multiple acts. Fight your way through Floors I - Floors VI(endless area) to thwart a band of masked Vain Deceivers!

At the end of each floor lurks a boss. Defeat that boss to move on to the next area.

You can also fight with other players in the Battle of Heroes mode to earn BT Pts.

You may be eligible for prizes depending on the amount of BT Pts you have earned and the number of victories you have in the Battle of Heroes mode.

• All rewards will be sent to your Inbox.
• Event-exclusive Titles can be found on your Profile page under Edit Title → Achievements.
• You cannot receive the same title more than once.

Event Schedule

The Masquerade of Deceit event is divided into two parts.

Part 1

Start: August 12, 2013, post-maintenance

End: August 15, 2013 at 6:00 pm (PST/PDT)

Part 2

Start: August 15, 2013, post-maintenance

End: August 20, 2013 at 2:00 am (PST/PDT)

　　　　　　　　

• The Head Start Rankings cover the entirety of Part One.
• Head Start Rankings will be determined solely by the number of BT Pts you have earned.
• Head Start Rank Rewards will be distributed after the rankings have been finalized.
• All Head Start Ranking rewards will be sent to your Inbox.
• Head Start Rankings will carry over into Part Two. Rankings will NOT be reset.
• Event Schedule may be subject to change.
• Final Rank Rewards will be distributed only after the event has finished.

The deadline to receive any event-related reward is Aug. 27, 2013, 2:00 am PST/PDT.

Combat in the Masquerade of Deceit

In the Masquerade of Deceit, you will assemble an army of 5 units that will do all of your fighting.

There will also be times when your Allies will assist you in combat.

Special Units

Special units are units that can be obtained through premium card packs, boxes, and megaboxes. They possess special bonuses that are active during the Masquerade of Deceit event.

Deploy any of the following units to receive a BT Pts bonus. The higher the rarity of each special unit deployed, the bigger your bonus. You will receive a BT Pts bonus for EACH special unit you deploy in this fashion.

• Fusil, Shikigami Master(6★)
• Mirabelle, Holy Acolyte(5★)
• Chagrin the Manipulator(4★)
• Ghenna, Death Wind(4★)

The higher the rarity, the larger your BT Pts bonus.

You will receive a BT Pts bonus for EACH special unit you deploy in this fashion.

You will not receive a BT Pts bonus from special units deployed by your allies.

You will only receive a BT Pts bonus if you successfully complete a stage or defeat an opponent within the event. If you fail the stage or lose to your opponent, you will not receive the bonus.

Put together a team with the units listed below to enjoy an increased chance to meet stronger opponents in the endless area (Floor VI) of the event.

• Baldomero, The Crimson King(6★)
• Fritz, Devoted Protector(5★)
• Manola, Sun Fairy(4★)
• Fasti the Young Archer(4★)

Only the special unit with the highest rarity will give you an increased chance of encountering stronger opponents. You will not receive an increased chance of encountering stronger opponents from special units deployed by your allies.

If your team contains more than one kind of these above special units, you will receive both the BT Pt bonus and the increased chance to encounter rarer enemies.

Masques

Use Masques within the event to temporarily boost the attack strength of your units, as well as your player life total for all event battles.

You will also receive an increased amount of BT Pts for a set amount of time.

You can find Masques(S) during Training.

• Your stock of Masques(S) and Masques(L) will be deleted at the end of the event. Please be forewarned.

Tip: use large masques during boss encounters for triple the BT pts

BT PTs

You will earn BT Pts for every battle you win within the event.

Furthermore, you will also receive a BT Pts bonus if you include any of the following units in your 5-person team. The size of the BT Pts bonus you will receive depends on the number and rarity of special units you include in your team.

• Fusil, Shikigami Master(6★)
• Mirabelle, Holy Acolyte(5★)
• Chagrin the Manipulator(4★)
• Ghenna, Death Wind(4★)

The higher the rarity of your special units, the bigger your BT Pt bonus.

Only the units listed above will provide a BT Pts bonus. You will only receive a bonus if you yourself deploy these units. You can receive a bonus from more than one unit.

You will not receive a BT Pt bonus from any units deployed by your allies.

You will only receive a BT Pt bonus if you successfully complete a stage or defeat an opponent within the event. If you fail the stage or lose to your opponent, you will not receive the bonus.

You will also receive an increased amount of BT Pts from both floor bosses and rare enemies encountered on Floor VI.

Earn enough BT Pts and you will receive a number of BT Pts rewards.

All BT Pts rewards will be sent to your Inbox.

• Any BT Pts you have earned during the first half of the event will carry over to the second half of the event. BT Pts will NOT be reset.

Victory Count

Each time you defeat an opponent in the Battle of Heroes mode, your victory count will increase by one.

• Your Victory Count is only affected by wins earned in the Battle of Heroes mode.

Get enough Victories and you will receive a number of Victory Count rewards.

All Victory Count rewards will be sent to your Inbox.

• Any Victories you have earned during the first half of the event will carry over to the second half of the event. Victories will NOT be reset.

Cooldown Within the Masquerade of Deceit

Initiating battle within the Masquerade of Deceit will incur a Cooldown.

This cooldown will be handled separately from your normal quest and battle cooldowns.

While cooldown will disappear over time, you can also use a Time Elixir / Time Elixir(P) to instantly set any cooldown time to zero.

Additionally, you can also use Potions to retry a stage within the Masquerade of Deceit.

Dual Skills

Units that have dual skills will use both of them during both event battles and the Battle of Heroes mode.

However, only one of these skills will have the possibility of activating each attack. Which skill activates is determined on a per attack basis.

• Check the back of a card to view each of the unit's individual skill levels.

Head Start Rankings

Head Start Rankings will start on Aug. 12, 2013, post-maintenance and end on Aug. 15, 2013 at 6:00 pm PST/PDT. 　　 　　 Head Start Rankings will be determined by BT Pts totals on August 15, 2013 at 6:00 pm PST/PDT. 　　 Head Start Rank Rewards will be sent to your Inbox after the rankings have been finalized. 　　

• In the event of a tie, we reserve the right to determine the winner by alternate means.

　　 As some time may be needed to calculate rankings, there may be some discrepency between the actual, final rankings and what is shown on the ranking screen. 　　

• Rankings may take up to 30 minutes to update.

　

Rankings

There are two types of rankings in the Masquerade of Deceit - your BT Pts Ranking and your Victory Count Ranking.

You can view your rank and the rank of the top 10 players at any time via the Ranking page.

As it may take some time for Rankings to update, there may be some discrepancy between what is shown on the Rankings page and the actual, final player rankings.

• Changes to player rankings may take up to 30 minutes to update.
