Event Info

The Arcane Atheneum is divided into six sections - Floors I - V and an endless Floor VI. Fight your way through each floor, and defeat the bosses to advance the next section.

You will also have the chance to fight other players in the Battle of Heroes mode to earn BT Pts. You may become eligible for prizes depending on your BT Pts and the number of victories you have in the Battle of Heroes mode.

• All rewards will be sent to your Inbox.
• Event-exclusive Titles can be found on your Profile page under Edit Title → Achievements.
• You cannot receive more than one copy of any title.

Event Schedule

The Arcane Atheneum will begin on July 12, 2013, after maintenance and end on July 17, 2013 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.

• These times may be subject to change.

All Rank Rewards will be awarded only after the event has ended.

Furthermore, the deadline to receive any event-related reward is July 24, 2013 by 2:00 am PST/PDT.

Combat in the Arcane Atheneum

In the Arcane Atheneum, you will put together a team of 5 units that will do all of your fighting.

There will also be times when your Allies will assist you in combat.

Special Units

A number of newly added units will grant bonuses during the Arcane Atheneum event. These units are available via premium card packs / boxes / megaboxes.

The special units are listed below.

Each unit will confer the following bonuses --

• Increase in the special unit's attack power (only in the Arcane Atheneum)
• Increase in attack speed (only in the Arcane Atheneum)
• Increase in player hit points (only in the Arcane Atheneum)

These special units are a good way to get an edge over the competition, so check them out!

• These bonuses apply only to the Arcane Atheneum event and have no effect on Training, Quests, or any Battles outside of the event.
• These bonuses will end at the conclusion of the Arcane Atheneum event.

Bookmarks

Use of Bookmarks within the event will temporarily boost the attack strength of your units, as well as your player life total. This bonus only applies to battles fought within the Arcane Atheneum event. You will also receive an increased amount of BT Pts for a set amount of time.

Bookmarks(S) occasionally drop during Training.

• Your stock of Bookmarks(S) and Bookmarks(L) will be deleted at the end of the event! Please be forewarned.

BT Pts

You will earn BT Pts for every battle you are victorious.

Bosses will award you larger amounts of BT Pts if you manage to defeat them.

You will also earn BT Pts for defeating other people in the Battle of Heroes mode.

Victory Count

Any wins you achieve in the Battle of Heroes mode will be added to your Victory Count.

• Victories won in each of the Floors found in the Arcane Atheneum will NOT add to your Victory Count

Cooldown Within the Arcane Atheneum

Initiating battle within the Arcane Atheneum will incur a Cooldown.

This cooldown will be handled separately from your normal quest, battle, and event cooldowns.

While cooldown will disappear over time, you can also use a Time Elixir to instantly set any cooldown time to zero.

Additionally, you can also use Potions to retry a stage within the Arcane Atheneum.

Dual Skills

Some units have more than one, non-arena skill. These units have what are called, "Dual Skills."

When a unit with a Dual Skill participates in an event battle or Battle of Heroes mode, it will have access to both of these skills.

However, only one of these skills will activate per attack. Which skill activates is determined on a per attack basis.

• Units with Dual Skills will still receive the benefits of the player skill "Battle Seasoned." However, this effect will only modify the first skill listed on the back of the card.
• Arena skills will still receive the benefits bestowed from "Battle Seasoned."
• Check the back of a unit's card to view all of its skills.
• For example, if a unit has Knockback 4 and Atk Boost (Male) 2, it will look like Knockback + Atk↑(Male) 4+2
• An Attack Boost skill like Attack Boost (Male) would look like Atk ↑ (Male).

Rankings

There are two types of rankings in the Arcane Atheneum - your BT Pts Ranking and your Victory Ranking.

You can view your rank and the rank of the top 10 players at any time via the Ranking page.

As it may take some time for Rankings to update, there may be some discrepancy between what is shown on the Ranking page and the actual, final player rankings.

• Changes to player rankings may take up to 30 minutes to update.

New Units

Special units that can be obtained through premium card packs, premium boxes, and premium megaboxes. They possess special bonuses that are active during the Arcane Atheneum event.

The below units possess the following bonuses:

• Extra damage inflicted on opponents (only within the Arcane Atheneum)
• Attack speed increased (only within the Arcane Atheneum)
• Player HP increased (only within the Arcane Atheneum)
