Event Info

The Once and Future King

A legendary king. Her loyal knights. A kingdom built to last a lifetime - until a curse threatened to destroy it all! The Pact has been broken and you must defend it from its former defenders!

In the Once and Future King, you will need to enter special, event-exclusive Training stages to defeat the fallen knights of Arthur's realm. Defeat these cursed knights to gain BT Pts. Earn BT Pts to secure a high rank. Higher ranks give rare prizes. You can also gain rewards by collect Shield Shards - an item that drops from Cursed Knights when you defeat them.

Also, Anne - of Soul Hunter fame, will be making a special appearance during the event. Defeat her to win an assortment of items!

• Once all of the Shield Shard rewards have been collected, all subsequent rewards will be determined at random.
• Go to the Rankings page after the event has finished to confirm your final rankings and press Receive to have your ranking rewards sent to your Inbox.

Event Schedule

The Once and Future King event will take place during the times listed below.

Start: March 1, 2014, post-maintenance End: March 6, 2014 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.

• Event schedule may be subject to change.
• Final Rank Rewards may be received only after the event have finished.
• The deadline to receive your Shield Shard rewards is March 12, 2014 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.

Fighting the Cursed Knights

You can deploy one of your own units, and the leader units of whatever players come to your assistance to do battle with a Cursed Knight.

You can increase the number of your own units that you can summon by using Holy Oaths. Only one Holy Oath can be used per battle and is lost on use.

Once you have initiated battle with a Cursed Knight, you will need to defeat it within a certain window of time. If you don't, it will flee. Furthermore, unit skills such as poison and knockback, will have no effect in these battles. You can rechallenge Knights that you have defeated or fled, but they will start at full health at the beginning of the next battle.

Finally, equip one of these new Season 18 Step Up Packs units listed below to increase your chances of encountering rarer Knights, as well as increase damage dealt by Mithril Lances you receive. The increase depends on the rarity of the unit.

Here are the units that offer bonuses during the event:

• Season 18 Step Up Packs:
  • Clarisse, Hidden in Flowers(7★)
  • Kagami, Divine Witness(6★)
  • Pine, Trickster Demon(6★)
  • Traidor the Heretic(5★)
  • Scarlet 5, Samurai Girl(5★)
  • Jugar the Wanderer(4★)
  • Aithria, Kimono Girl(4★)

• Only the units listed above will offer an increase to your chances to meet rarer Knights.

During the event, you will also have a slim chance of encountering Anne and Fafnir. Each time you meet them, their levels will range for 10 - 100 (determined at random.) Defeating them (or letting them go) will have no direct effect on their level the next time you meet them.

• Defeating Fafinir will award you with a large number of Shield Shards and EXP, but you will not receive any Luna or BT Pts.
• Defeating Anny will award you with one of many possible items.

In addition to the above, you will also have a chance of triggering a special Limited Boss encounter. Limited Bosses are unique in that when you encounter one, your allies will also receive Limited Bosses of their own.

• You can only have one Limited Boss active at any given time.
• Special units have no effect on Limited Boss encounter rates.

Calling for Help

Allies may choose to call you for help. There may also be times when you receive similar requests from non-allies.

You will have two ways to help them - "Send Aid" will let them call your leader unit in battle and "Send Lance" will send them 1 Mithril Lance. Helping another player will consume some of your Training Pts, but you will earn both BT Pts and Shield Shards.

Tapping the "Request Assistance" button will send a request to your own allies, as well as some random non-allies, for help in the same fashion. Tapping the "Request Assistance" button will trigger Cooldown. You can wait for Cooldown to dissipate naturally, or use a Potion to reset it instantly.

Mithril Lances

When assisting others, you can choose to send them Mithril Lances if you have at least one in stock.

Mithril Lances are bundled with some purchases (check Card Pack page for more details,) but can also be earned as a Shield Shard reward. Sending a Mithril Lances to another player will grant you a big boost in BT Pts and Shield Shards. You can only send Mithril Lances to other players. You can NOT use them on yourself, nor can you trade them.

Lances that have been sent from other players are automatically used in boss fights. A maximum of 5 lances can be used in a single fight and all remaining lances will carry over to your next fight. Lances deal more damage than normal attacks, so having another player send them is a great way to tackle the more powerful bosses.

Additionally, if you have one of the new Season 18 Step Up Pack / Season 11 Dream Chest units (listed above), set as your leader, Mithril Lances sent to you by other players will deal additional damage.

Holy Oaths

>Using Holy Oaths allows you to increase the number of units you can summon from your collection.

Holy Oaths are available from the shop for the price of 100 MobaCoins / Fanta Pts each. Once used, Holy Oaths last for one battle.

• *** Take care, once you have used a Holy Oath, the effect will end at the conclusion of your next battle regardless of whether you actually deploy an extra unit or not. ***
• Any unused Holy Oaths you have will be converted to Potions and sent to your Inbox during a future, undetermined Maintenance.

Shield Shards

Shield Shards can drop whenever you defeat a Cursed Knight in battle or send aid to another player.

Collect enough Shield Shards and you can unlock special, event-specific rewards like rare units. Unlock the first 10 Shield Shard rewards and you'll gain access to secret rewards.

Collecting rewards does not require you to forfeit your Shield Shards . You'll still retrain all of your Shield Shards even after you've received your reward.

• You can not trade Shield Shards.

Event-exclusive Titles can be found on your Profile page under Edit Title → Achievements.

BT Pts

Defeat Knights in battle and aid others to gain BT Pts.

You can also gain a large number of BT Pts when you send a Mithril Lance to another player. Once you have encountered a Cursed Knight, you can challenge it multiple times until it is defeated or flees. Its HP will not regenerate.

Fever Time

Occasionally, you will enter a special state known as "Fever Time."

As you complete Training, you have a set chance to enter a special state called "Fever Time." Fever Time will end after a set amount of time passes. Defeat a boss during Fever Time to receive an increased amount of Shield Shards and BT Pts.

• Fever Time has no effect on the amount of Shield Shards / BT Pts received from sending aid to an ally.
• Fever Time will not award bonus Shield Shards / BT Pts for any boss fights initiated before Fever Time occurs.
• Fever Time will not award bonus Shield Shards / BT Pts for any bosses defeated after Fever Time ends, regardless of whether they were encountered during Fever Time or not.
• Fever Time will have no effect on Shield Shards / BT Pts received from Limited Bosses.

Ranking

Ranking will be determined by your total number of BT Pts.

You can view your rank and the ranks of the top ten players via the Ranking page. Rankings will be consistent throughout both halves of the event. Higher ranks offer greater rewards, so get to work, soldier! As it may take some time for Rankings to update, there may be some discrepancy between what is shown on the Ranking page and the actual, final player rankings.

• Changes to player rankings may take up to 30 minutes to update.

Shield Shard Rewards

Gather enough Shield Shards and you'll gain access to items and rare, event-exclusive cards!

There are 20 Shield Shard rewards. The rarest are hidden at the bottom of the list. Good luck unlocking them all!

• Once you have unlocked all of the Shield Shard rewards, additional rewards will be awarded at random after you have earned a certain number of Shield Shards.
• You can receive your Metal Heart rewards on the Shield Shard Rewards page. Tap the Receive Shield Shard Rewards button and your rewards will be sent to your Inbox.
• Event-exclusive Titles can be found on your Profile page under Edit Title → Achievements.
• The deadline to receive your Shield Shard rewards is March 12, 2014 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.
