The event schedule is as follows:

=== The Guild Prep Phase ===
The Guild Prep Phase is when you will find, or make, a guild for the upcoming battle.

To participate in the event, you will have two options:
* Find and join a guild that has openings available
* Create your own guild and recruit guildmates

You can leave a guild you've joined during the Guild Prep Phase, but you will need to wait some time before you can leave any other guilds you may join in the future.

Finally, you cannot leave a guild that you have created yourself. You may disband a guild if there are no members present.

=== Rooks (Rookie Players) ===
In general, guild spaces are capped at 7 members. However, you can exceed this cap by two additional players provided that they meet the following requirements:
* At or below level 30
* Join date is September 8, 2013 (12:00 am PST/PDT) or later
* There are no filled entries for 6★s (excluding Mina) or 7★s in the players album

Players meeting all of the above qualify as "Rooks."

Players who are already in guilds can use the Invite Rook! feature found on the Guild main page to look for eligible candidates to invite.

You can then leave an invitation on a Rook's message board by tapping the profile button.

Rooks can be a valuable asset to your Guild! Good luck!

=== Wild Souls and Morale ===
Tap the Offer Souls button to increase your guild's morale by sacrificing Wild Souls.

Once a set number of souls have been sacrificed, your guild's morale will increase giving your guild more Action Pts during the next battle.

Wild Souls have a set chance to drop in normal quests and training.

They also appear randomly in the Leana's Exchange Shop.

* The number of Souls required to increase your guild's morale is shared between guild members. Anyone within the guild can offer souls to increase guild morale.

The higher your guild's morale, the more action points you will have to use in guild battles.

NOTE: Your guild morale will return to its default value after each battle.

Consulting with your guildmates about Wild Soul management will help you succeed in battle.

* Wild Souls will cease to be of any use once the FANTASICA Chronicles: Battle for the Wastes event concludes.
* Wild Souls may be deleted at the end of the event. Please be forewarned.

=== The Guild Battle Phase ===
The Guild Battle Phase is where combat between rival guilds takes place.

Combat is divided into three phases:
# The Matching Phase
# The Battle Phase
# The End Phase

==== The Matching Phase ====
Your guild will be paired against a similarly ranked guild during this phase. During this phase, your guild can offer souls to increase guild morale.

NOTE: You can ONLY offer souls during this phase.

==== The Battle Phase ====
This is when the actual battle takes place.

The team that earns the most Guild Pts during the allotted time will be declared winner during the End phase.

==== The End Phase ====
This is the phase that occurs after the fighting has finished.

During this phase, Guild Pts earned in battle will be tallied and a winner will be determined.

=== Deploying your Team ===
During the Matching Phase, you will be able to choose where you want to deploy your team.

The battlefield is divided into three zones - each with their own unit modifiers.
* The modifiers are only active during the Battle phase of the event.

You cannot deploy your team to a place that is already occupied by another guildmate.

Furthermore, you cannot change your unit's location once you have entered the battle phase.

Team deployment will reset at the end of each battle.

If there is a specific place you want to deploy your team to, please be sure to do so before the start of the next battle.
* If you are unable to deploy your unit before battle, you will automatically be placed in an open location when you join battle.
* However, your team will not be eligible to participate in base defense until you actually log into battle.

=== Editing your Team ===
The Edit Team button will allow you to choose which units will participate in the battle phase of the guild battle.

You can assign up to a maximum of 10 units to your team.
* Any additions to your team's roster must keep the team at, or below, the cost cap.

Units that have Arena Skills will use those skills over any other skills that they may have.
* Check the back of your unit card to determine whether or not your unit has an Arena Skill.
* Player Skills will have no effect on units participating in the FANTASICA Chronicles event.

In the Edit Team menu, you have the ability to delegate up to 5 units to base defense.

Units assigned to defense will continue protect your base by drawing enemy attacks so long as they continue to have health remaining.
* You can continue to delegate units to offense / defense even during the Battle phase of the event.

=== Special Units ===
The following units, available for a limited time in premium purchases, will offer bonuses during the FANTASICA Chronicles: Battle of the Wastes event.
* 7 units added in [[Step Up Packs 10]]
* 8 units added in [[Blood Guard Series]]

Each of these units will enjoy-
* increased attack strength
* increased hit points
* a bonus to Guild Pts received when attacking an enemy base

The above bonuses are only available during the FANTASICA Chronicles: Battle of the Wastes event.

=== The Battle Phase ===
Once battle begins, you will gain access to the battlefield. Here is where the actual fighting takes place.

To win, you must earn more Guild Pts than your opponent within the allocated amount of time.
* In the event of a tie, both guilds will suffer a loss.

You can earn Guild Pts by -
* Performing an attack
* Using Rally to restore some of a guildmate's Action Pts

==== Performing an Attack ====
When performing an attack, up to a maximum of 5 of your units NOT set on defense will attempt to attack the enemy guild's base.

When attacking, each unit involved in the attack will consume a set amount of Action Pts.

If you lack the Action Pts to perform even a single attack, no attack will take place.

If the enemy guild has no units set to defend, then you will attack the enemy base.

Enemy bases are unable to perform counterattacks and offer a larger number of Guild Pts.
* Player skills will have no effect on combat in the FANTASICA Chronicles event.

==== Rallying a Guildmate ====
Rallying allows you spend a set amount of Action Pts to restore a portion of a guildmate's Action Pts.

Supporting a guildmate in this fashion can be one of many effective strategies.

Tap Heal to fully restore the hit points of every unit in your team. Healing consumes a set amount of Action Pts.
* Attempting to perform this action when you have insufficient Action Pts will have no effect.

=== Crash Chance ===
During battle, you will occasionally spot a hammer icon on the enemy's base.

Tapping it will allow you to perform a Crash Chance - a direct attack on the enemy base that cannot be defended against.

NOTE: You will still need to have Action Pts to perform a Crash Chance.

Crash Chances are great opportunities for some easy Guild Pts, so keep your eyes peeled, Soldier!

=== Regaining Action Pts ===
Performing actions during the Battle Phases requires Action Pts.

Action Pts will regenerate naturally over time.
* Guilds that have a larger maximum number of Action Pts, will regenerate more Action Pts with each tick. The amount of time needed to regain all of your Action Pts is the same for all guilds.

Alternatively, you can also use a Potion or Wild Tonic to completely restore your Action Pts at any time.

Wild Tonics are available as an event reward and are also included in some card purchases.
* The number of potions you can use in a single battle is limited.
* The number of Wild Tonics you can use in a single battle is NOT limited.
* Wild Tonics will cease to be of any use once the FANTASICA Chronicles: Battle for the Wastes event concludes.
* Wild Tonics may be deleted at the end of the event. Please be forewarned.

If you use an item to restore your Action Pts after being prompted to use an item (in response to unsuccessfully trying to perform an action), it may look like you have restored a reduced amount of Action Pts, but this is not the case. What happens is that you will immediately perform the action you attempted to perform (right before being prompted to use an item), and then the cost to perform the action will be subtracted from your Action Pts.

=== Battle Schedule ===
Battles during the Guild Battle Phase will take place as follows.

Example) If you want to participate in Battle 14 with the DogLB guild, you must be a member of that guild for at least an hour before Battle 14 starts.
If you join a guild with less than an hour before the next battle starts, you will NOT be able to participate in the next battle.

* The exception is Battle 1. You must be in a guild before maintenance begins on October 10, 2013 or you will not be able to participate in Battle 1.

== Event Info ==
Call of the Desert is a co-op event where all players kill monsters to earn BT Pts.
* To participate in the event, simply press the "Call of the Desert" button found on your main page.

Complete quests and Oasis Quests to earn BT Pts for yourself and the community. As the total number of BT Pts increases, Desert Panels will open and bestow rewards on all players paricipating in the event.
* The amount of BT Pts you can earn varies depending on the quest.
* Even if you fail a quest, you can still receive a set amount of BT Pts.
* Some time may be required before BT Pts totals update.

Desert Panels hide rewards. Work together with other players to destroy the magic binding these panels and receive the rewards hidden within!

Press the "Receive" button on the Ranking page after the event has finished to have all eligible rewards sent to your Inbox.
* Event-exclusive Titles can be found on your Profile page under Edit Title → Achievements.
* The deadline to receive any event-related reward is October 15, 2013 by 2:00 am PST/PDT.

=== Event Schedule ===
The Call of the Desert event is divided into two parts.

Part One will start on September 27, 2013, post-maintenance and end on October 2, 2013 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.

Part Two will start on October 2, 2013, post-maintenance and end on October 8, 2013 at 2:00 am PST/PDT.

* The Head Start Rankings cover the entirety of Part One.
* Head Start Rank Rewards will be distributed after the rankings have been finalized.
* All rewards will be sent to your Inbox.
* Head Start Rankings will carry over into Part Two. Rankings will NOT be reset.
* Event Schedule may be subject to change.
* Final Rank Rewards will be distributed only after the event has finished.

=== Desert Panels ===
You will see a number of panels on the main page of the event.

As event participants earn BT Pts through quests, each panel will open when the total number of earned BT Pts reaches a certain amount.

Once a panel opens, all event participants will be eligible for that reward.
* Panels will update periodically. If applicable, panel rewards will be distributed when the panel updates.

=== Oasis Quests ===
Oasis Quests are a special kind of quest that require at least one Oasis Pot to undertake.
* If you fail one of these quests, you will be able to continue where you left off once a certain amount of time has passed.

If you don't think you can complete the quest, or want to abandon it, tap the "Give Up" button to quit.
